To Whom So Ever It May Concern:

Ritwik Rajiv Saxena is currently pursuing his B.E. in Computer Science, from the Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology. As the Lecturer, Department of Computer, NSIT, I have taught Ritwik two subjects- namely Linux in the 4th semester and Advance Computer Architecture in the 6th semester. Because of this close interaction in the class and the computer lab, I was able to notice his aptitude for subjects such as parallel processing. He is a devoted student who is hard working, consistent and focused.

In my classes I found him to be attentive and regular. He was always curious about new and upcoming technologies pertaining to   pipelining, parallel processing, and distributed computing. Since the subject is mostly practical and requires students to indulge in team work in the labs, I was always appreciative of Ritwik’s leadership qualities blended with his practical feel for the subject. He would lead the team work, shoulder all the crucial work and help others finish their parts.

As far as the Linux winter training was concerned, he was quick to grasp and memorize the commands of the Linux operating system. He is one of those students who worked beyond the Linux training to conceptualize the application and use of the training in various areas. He has good analytical and quantitative skills and that is why he was able to do exceptionally well in assessments and viva voce exams.

Whenever he was asked to give presentations, he would express himself with clarity and bring out his well researched and compiled concepts in an interesting manner. He possesses a good command over English.

A very successful team player, I have seen him work in consonance with his co students in team assignments. I would like to talk about his wonderful work as the Co- Convener Software Events for the national level technical college festival ‘Innovision’. I was his supervisor and actually helped us to organise and conceptualize 13 technical events during the festival. He rose to his responsibilities as a team leader for a team of 46 students, who under his guidance worked day and night to make the fest a success. With a flair for reaching out to people, he solely managed the online publicity and website management for this festival.

In the midst of classroom assignments or hectic fest preparations, I never saw him get disheartened or angry. Remaining calm even under intense pressure he would manage all his duties and seek solutions to problems. One good thing about Ritwik is that he never hesitates to ask, when he is in doubt, which makes him a very good learner who is full of humility and enthusiasm to improve upon his knowledge. He is a very considerate and modest person, whom everyone finds it easy to interact with and work. I have noticed his respect for timelines and regulations. This disciplined attitude, innovative aptitude and strong will to succeed make him an apt candidate for a rigorous international masters program. I extend my full support to his candidacy and request the university to grant him full financial aid alongwith admission.
